Cala Mondrago - Santanyi
A totally natural beach situated in a National park with dunes and wetlands that plays host to many different bird species (look out for the White Crane). Here not only will you find fine white sand and invitingly clear water but also unusual rock formations – great for snorkelers.
There is a very small resort close by with its own sandy beach and both are connected by an easily walked path around the headland. The resort is small and being part of the Mondrago National Park, and quite isolated, thankfully will never be further developed. It’s a little gem and reminds you of holiday resorts of old.
Facilities: Sun beds and parasol hire. Pedaloes. Bar/restaurant. Shop. Parking.
How do I get there? Although fairly isolated it is well signposted. Head for either Cala d’Or (or Santanyi) and pick up the road signs for Cala Mondrago. A bus service runs from Cala d’Or and in the summer a tourist train operates from Porto Pedro.
