Palma Airport
Book an airport Transfer
The easiest way is to reserve an airport transfer from Shuttle Direct who will pick you up from the airport and take you directly to your hotel.
Click on the link above to make your booking from their site.
Palma airport is the 3rd busiest in Spain. Situated 8kms from the capital of Palma it has all the facilities you would expect at an international airport.
The airport is distributed over 3 floors of a modern building. On the ground floor is the arrival hall, on the middle floor you will find the check in desks and on the upper floor is passport control and the departure hall including 'duty free'.
When checking in you will find most of the airlines have a dedicated area for their check-in desks - just check on the large board when you enter to find out where you need to go.
On departure; you will always find one or two shops, a cafe and toilet facilities close to the departure gates...so don't feel you have to stay in the main hall if you'd prefer to wait at your designated gate.
General Information:
Parking: There is both long stay and short stay parking at the airport
Shops: good number of shops selling local handicrafts, clothes and a large 'duty free' style supermarket. Please take note: There is no more duty free allowance within the EU, which is why neither alcohol or cigarettes are sold on flights anymore. Should you want to buy cigarettes in Spain (800 cigarettes per person are allowed), then buy these at the airport. Please also remember that you are not allowed to carry liquids on you when passing security control. If you have bought Hierbas or other drinks as a souvenir, then pack them safely in your main luggage or buy them once you have past the security control. The same applies for food stuffs like cheese, marmelades etc.
Taxis: are plentiful and easy to find. Just follow the signs which lead you out of the airport and across the road to the covered taxi rank
Shuttle Bus: A shuttle bus operates throughout much of the summer season to many of the more popular resorts. Ask at the information desk for information and directions when you arrive
