Poniente Golf

Arguably the best known course on Mallorca, located near the Magluf water parks, Poniente is diverse and challenging course. Whilst the front nine may appear fairly routine, there are plenty of bunkers and lakes to keep you occupied and into the back nine, things really liven up. Deep in the forest with trees, hilly terrain and quick greens become the challenge, with a ravine hazard on hole 8 and water galore on hole 10, which is recognised as one of the best in the Med.

Despite the location and popularity with British and German tourists, a round at Poniente will take under 4 hours and typically there aren't hold ups. It is a par 72 course that carries over 7,250 yards from the championship tees and of course stunning views come as standard on the courses of Mallorca.

Designed by the prolific architect John Harris - who has designed, remodelled or planned over 450 courses - his death in 1977 meant he never saw the finished version of his planned course.
