Son Muntaner Golf

Located in the Arabella Resort, another hotbed of Golf on the island with 3 courses, Son Muntaner is a tougher and longer course than its neighbours and the newest, having been established in 2000.

Whilst there is beautiful scenery, including wild flowers, breathtaking views and even Mallorca's oldest olive tree - 'Sa Capitana' (pictured below) said to be over 1000 years old, the course is still very much one for the player.

Broad fairways and large greens, capable of having several different pin positions, mean high handicappers can play alongside pros. That said, taking 3 attempts to sink a putt can become the norm if you're not careful, with the omnipresent wind a distinctive feature of the course.

Located very close to Palma, this course has all the potential to become an island classic. The only caveat is that unless you are a guest of one of the main hotels of the Arabella resort, the green fees are high.
