Scenic Train Trip to Sóller, Mallorca

Take yourself off to the train station in Palma and enjoy a day trip on the narrow gauge railway. It’s great fun for the family, any train enthusiast, or if you want to just sit back and enjoy a wonderful scenic tour.

The 1912 authentic wooden carriages take the strain as they wind through the Tramuntana mountain range (through a very long tunnel!) and then out and down into the citrus valley where the town of Sóller is situated. Stopping for photos of the views along the way you get a real sense of space and the best view of Sóller down below.

The train stops in the town where you can get out and wander around the shops, have lunch or call in at the station art gallery that features fabulous works by Picasso and Joan Miró.

Or choose to carry on by tram down to the port where you can explore this pretty resort set in a horseshoe bay or simply relax on the beach. For those who want to go further – boat trips are available from the harbour.

All in all a fabulous day out and the fantastic views are thrown in for free!
