La Reserva Aventur
A nature reserve, founded in 1986, with an area of 2.5 million m² located in the south-west of Majorca, in Puigpuñyent, some 17 km from Palma. La Reserva can be found at the foot of the Galatzó Mountain, one of the island's better known mountains standing over 1000 metres tall. The reserve has abundant vegetation of wide variety thanks to the range in altitude from the valley right to the top of the mountain, many are indigenous to Mallorca. There are also many animals including three brown bears, ostriches, emus, deer, wild donkeys, goats, peacocks and numeous geese and ducks, all of whom live amongst the caves, forest and waterfalls.
If you're after something a little more lively, then there are plenty of adventure activities including rock climbing, zip wires, canoeing and orienteering. There are extensive facilities for picnicking, barbecues and parking and there is also a children's fairground.
