Classical Music Festivals and Annual Concerts in the West of Mallorca

April to September - Deià International Music Festival, Son Marroig; Chamber music throughout the summer in a cliff top house in Deià with spectacular views, which once belonged to Archduke Luis Salvador.

1st Sunday in July - Torrent de Pareis Choral Concert, Sa Calobra; choral music in the spectacular setting of Mallorca's natural monument Sa Calobra.

July and August - Pollença Festival, Cloister of Santo Domingo; famed for its acoustics, the cloister of Pollensa makes a splendid backdrop to this chamber music festival whose honorary president is Queen Sofia.

August - Valldemossa Chopin Festival, Cartuja Monastery; a festival dedicated to the Polish composer and pianist's stay in Valldemossa with George Sand.

August to October - Puerto de Soller Classical Music Festival, Chapel of Santa Catalina Monastery; some wonderful classical music in the inspirational setting of a restored chapel.

Between August and October - Calvià Opera Festival, Calvià Church, Paguera Theatre del Casal; comic opera from the Calvia Choir and Chamber Orchestra.

Saturdays from September to December - Bunyola Music Festival, Casa de Cultura; the Bunyola festival has a 20 year history of classical concerts and is now one of the mainstays of the Mallorca winter season.
