Goya in Cala Millor

an exhibition of the innumerable foibles and follies in any civilized society

If you'd like to see the works of one of Spain's greatest artists then head for Cala Millor on the east coast of Mallorca.

There's an exhibition there in the town's Sa Maniga Auditorium (C/ de son Galta, 4) until 11th September of Francisco Goya's 'Los Caprichos.'

They're a set of 80 aquatint prints created by the artist in 1797 and 1798, and published as an album in 1799.Goya himself described the series as depicting "the innumerable foibles and follies to be found in any civilized society, and from the common prejudices and deceitful practices which custom, ignorance, or self-interest have made usual."

It's totally free to enter and is open from Monday to Friday from 09.00 to 13.30 and 19.00 to 21.00.
