One of Mallorca's best known hotels has been given yet another gong. Read's Hotel in Santa María del Camí in the wine producing region of Binissalem has been named in the top 10 'wine hotels' of europe.

The luxury hotel website 'Experiencias y Mas' put Read's at number 4 on the list of hotels where fine wine and dining can be enjoyed alongside excellent location, attention, services and installations.

Read's, an old stone manorial house dating back 500 years, already has a Michelin star restaurant, it's own vineyard and is surrounded by 20,000 square metres of landscaped gardens but is only 15 minutes from Palma.

Three other Spanish hotels made the top 10. The Hotel Marqués de Riscal (2) in la Rioja,the Hotel Peralada Wine Spa & Golf (6) in Emporda and the Hotel Hacienda Zorita (10) near Salamanca.
