the 'Indian summer' stretched into November 
If you were in Mallorca in October you'll know how warm it was, temperatures were way above average and the 'Indian summer' stretched into November to give the warmest start to that month for many a year.
As you would expect, this led to a decrease in demand for electricity – 4.2% less than October 2008. It was the same story in Menorca where there was a 6.4% decrease, but in neighbouring Ibiza demand increased by 0.6%, and nobody can explain why!
