Mallorca Cultural Interest: Biniaraix

the famous hike, the 'Barranc de Biniaraix,'

One of Mallorca's prettiest and most picturesque hamlets, Biniariax, which nestles below the Tramuntana Mountains just a stone's throw from Soller, has been honoured by the Consell of Mallorca.

It's been declared as being a 'Site of Cultural Interest' (BIC – Bien de Interes Cultural) because it is an example of a rural nucleus whose buildings are in harmony with the landscape and physical environment.

the hamlet of biniaraix

Small and perfectly formed with cobbled streets, many with no access for cars, it has a church, a bar and a public laundry area with water from a mountain stream! It's the start of the famous hike, the 'Barranc de Biniaraix,' which is extremely popular with walkers all year round.

If you're visiting Soller on the train one day, why not take an easy 15 minute stroll up to Biniaraix to see just how nice it is for yourself?
