Mallorca Casino Move

Mallorca's big casino which is currently located near to Magalluf will soon be on the move – but not as soon as they'd like! The planned transfer to the Porto Pi shopping centre near to the ferry port in Palma is delayed as the required licenses and permissions have not yet been granted by the authorities.

In an ideal world what should have happened is that the Casino spend €6.5 million converting the former cinema building and employ 165 staff, an increase from the 130 employed at the moment, and open the new casino in December, in time for the lucrative Christmas season.

More than just a gambling hall, the casino hosts spectacular shows, grand banquets, weddings and the like and is moving to Palma because it is seen as a better market for this type of event than its present location.
