The Changing of the Guard
accompanied by fife and drums
The Almudaina Palace in Palma is the scene of the traditional changing of the Guard of Honour on Christmas day at 12.00.
It features around 20 soldiers accompanied by drums recreating the changing of the guard as it was in 1808 when the Volunteer regiment of Palma was created by the Marquès de Vivot.
Visitors to Mallorca can see this spectacle throughout the year on the last Saturday of the month.
