Mallorca Cycling Challenge XIX
4 pairs of brothers all competing in different teams
Pedal power takes over Mallorca next week as 20 professional teams from all over the world arrive on the island to compete in the 19th Tour of Mallorca. What makes this year's competition interesting is that there are 4 pairs of brothers all competing in different teams, and the Schleck Brothers from Team Saxo finished second and fourth in last year's Tour de France!
There'll be 5 stages from 7th to 11th February and you'll be able to catch the multi-coloured 'bunch' of around 250 cyclists as they pass by at the following locations.
7th Palma Trophy, 116 kms, 10 laps of Palma's 11.6 km urban circuit (see plan)
8th Cala Millor Trophy, 173.5 kms on the flat from Cala Millor to Son Servera
9th Inca Trophy, 157.2 kms circular route taking in the mountains near Soller
10th Deia Trophy, 143 kms circular route with yet more mountains
11th Magaluf – Palma Nova Trophy, 158.5 kms of mountains, mountains and more mountains
Detailed maps of all the stages can be found on the Cycling Challenge website
