Gourmet Gathering in Palma
a seven course gourmet meal
If ever Mallorca's reputation as 'Food Island' needed underlining then this little gathering of chefs would do it seven times. Seven Chefs from seven of Mallorca's top restaurants will be bringing their culinary expertise AND no less than four Michelin stars to the 'Gran Premio Gourmet de Cocina de Mallorca 2010.'
Held at the Castillo Hotel de Son Vida in Palma on October 9th it's a seven course gourmet meal with each chef preparing a different
course. Here in 'meal order' are the famous chefs;
Rafael Sánchez from Plat d'Or restaurant, Sheraton Mallorca Arabella Golf Hotel; Thomas Kahl from Es Fum in the St. Regis Mardavall Mallorca Resort; Marc Fosh (Photo) from Simply Fosh in Palma,
Josef Sauerschell from Es Racó d'es Teix in Deia; Bartomeu Caldentey from Es Molí d'en Bou in Sa Coma; Gerhard Schwaiger from Tristán in Puerto Portals and Benet Vicens from Bens d’Avall near
Soller.
The food will be accompanied by fine wines from the Macià Batle and Torres houses in Mallorca and Catalonia as well as live music. The price is a not unsubstantial €185 but should be worth every centimo with a line up of experts like these. For more information – see the official website: Castillo Hotel Son Vida
