Latin Jazz in Palma

There's a treat in store for those who like their Jazz with a spicy Latin flavour when Horacio 'El Negro' Hernández plays Palma in October. horacio el negro hernandezThe Cuban born drummer is on the road promoting his album Italuba which pays homage to his Havana roots as well as Jazz masters like Miles Davis and Dizzy Gillespie on the tracks '90 Miles to Miles' and 'A Night in Torino.'

A Grammy award winner for best Latin Jazz Album in the past, El Negro has performed with artists from across the genres – Jazz, Rock, Latin – such as Roy Hargrove, McCoy Tyner, Stevie Winwood, Jack Bruce and Giovanni Hidalgo.

The concert is on Sunday 17th October at 21.00 in the Teatro Principal on Palma's Calle de la Riera, 2. Tickets cost from €20 to €30 and can be bought online from Servicaixa.
