Palma's Martian Chronicles
tapa and a small beer for only €2.
There's only one thing better than tapas in Palma and that is cheap Tapas in Palma!
Every Tuesday, the bars in the city centre Sa Gerreria area, clustered around the Plaza d'en Coll, offer a tapa and a small beer for only €2.
It's an initiative dreamt up by the bar owners themselves after the success of the annual Tapalma event and it's working. The street terraces and bars
are thronged with people from 19.30 until Midnight and if you really must sit down, it's difficult to find an empty table as the night goes on.
Known locally as The Ruta Martiana (the Martian Route) because it takes place on a Tuesday (Martes in Spanish) you'll find plenty of local people but hardly any little green men in the 12 bars on the route.
Molta Barra (photo), La Gran Taberna, La Ruta del Té, Bar Boya, La Bravo, Noodle bar, D´En Coll, Restaurante Santa Eulalia, Café Riparo, Pica-Pica, Es Forn de Sa Llotgeta and L´Ambigú.
Just follow the crowds if you get lost.
