Mallorca Orange Alert
special menus priced at only €15 and €20
Everything's orange in the Soller Valley over the next few weeks as the area celebrates its most famous product – the orange – from 5th to 21st June.
The main day of the fiesta is the 5th of June when the main square of Soller town will be full of stalls offering samples of dishes made with oranges at an economic €1 a go. In the afternoon local traders will be selling lots of different products made from oranges – don't forget that Soller Marmalade is world famous!
In conjunction with this, 24 restaurants in Soller, Puerto de Soller and Fornalutx will be offering special menus priced at only €15 and €20 during the period. Even better, diners based in Palma can buy a special return trip on the train for only €27 which includes the meal.
Hoteliers and shopkeepers are also offering special discounts during the period. All the details of the hotels, shops and restaurants involved are given on this PDF file which is only in Catalan (why?) but which has a map of where they all are.
