Paco de Lucia Plays Palma
pure Flamenco style
One of the world's most accomplished Flamenco guitarists will be making the short trip to Palma Auditorium in October during his world tour. Paco de Lucia has chosen Mallorca as his home but has not played in concert on the island for a long while.
Though best known for his Andalusian roots and pure Flamenco style, he has worked in many other genres, Jazz, Classical and Rock, to prove his versatility and has shared the stage with other luminaries of the guitar like Al di Meola and John McCloughlin.
Growing up in Algeciras in Cadiz, where nearly every other chico in the barrio was called Paco, he was given the name 'de Lucia' (his mother's name) to distinguish him from everyone else.
Now, distinguished as one of Spain's finest guitarists, he will play the concert on Saturday 2nd October at 20.00 and tickets can be purchased via Servicaixa.
