Palma Cruisers 2010
more than 500 cruise ships could berth in Palma
The year's only a few days old and already two giant cruise ships have visited Palma. Saturday saw the Aida Bella – a new ship which can carry up to 2000 pasengers – and on Sunday the even bigger Brilliance of the Seas arrived.

The Aida Bella
It's a good star to a year which port authorities will buck the trend of recent years. Cruise ship arrivals were down in 2009 by 14% on the previous year with 424 vessels compared to 496 in 2008.
Barring last minute changes or cancellations, there is a distinct possibility that with more than 500 cruise ships could berth in Palma in 2010 – a record. Already the port has reservations for 10 cruise ships which have never visited Palma before.
