Michelle Obama and daughter Sasha

America's First Lady is scheduled to pay a flying visit to Palma this Sunday. Michelle Obama and daughter Sasha will have lunch with King Juan Carlos and Queen Sofia at the Marivent Palace just outside the city overlooking Cala Mayor.

Mrs. Obama will be holidaying in Marbella without the President – he's busy with other commitments – for a few days and will finish off her trip in Palma where she's been specially invited by the royals.

White House security staff have already paid a reconnaissance trip to the city and have checked out facilities at the Son Dureta hospital should anything untoward happen to the First Lady

Palma is currently the holiday venue of the King's son, Prince Felipe, who's taking part in a sailing competition, and his wife Letizia and daughters Leonor and Sofia who kept the paparazzi busy whilst touring the city in a horse drawn carriage.
