Palma Fiesta: San Sebastian 2010

It's Palma's big fiesta to celebrate San Sebastian's day on 20^th January. The city pulls out all the stops for everyone to have a great time with concerts galore and spectacular fireworks. They've been celebrating it for hundreds of years – the fiesta marks the miraculous end of a plague in Palma in 1523 and 1524 when a bone from St. Sebastian's arm was brought to the city – so they've just about got it right now!

Everything starts on 17^th January with a big parade round the from the Plaza España city taking in Calle San Miguel, Plaza Mayor, Calle Colon and the Plaza de Cort.

On the 19^th there are concerts almost everywhere in the city's squares in the evening.

On 22^nd there's a concert with Fito & Fitipaldis and La Cabra Mecánica at the new venue Son Fusteret (in Son Castelo on the Metro route) - €23
