Arenal, Mallorca - stunning white beach

Arenal is the stuff of holiday dreams; long white sands, palm trees and turquoise waters are all to be found here. Situated close to Palma, holidaymakers in this resort have the best of both worlds; a holiday resort with a great beach and good facilities but also easy access to the bright lights and shops of Palma City.

Lying at the end of a 6 km beach it is the last of the 3 popular resorts along this strip of coastline. C’an Pastilla, Playa de Palma and Arenal run into each other providing a great choice for easy exploration. A popular way of getting about is by bike or the mini train which connects all three resorts.

The resort is extremely popular with young German visitors, which gives Arenal a very lively image throughout the summer months. There’re plenty of bars and clubs to visit and the fun doesn’t stop until the early hours of the morning – so it’s not a resort for rest and relaxation! Having said that though, it is also quite popular with families.

The beach is the main star of the show. Along with almost perfect sand there’s a good selection of water sports available too. Along its length are dotted ‘balnearios’. They’re small beach huts or kioskos where you can buy drinks plus and use facilities such as toilets and showers.

Regular buses get you into Palma for a day, or evening, trip and close by is one of the largest water parks; Aqualand el Arenal.
