Cala Millor, Mallorca - with an almost endless beach
This resort has a spectacular beach. More than 6 km of soft golden sand stretches along the coastline lapped by turquoise sea. If you’re a beach lover this is the place to be!
Plenty of room to stretch out, water sports a plenty, and great facilities make this beach a great choice for a day’s hard sun tanning. The kids will love it too, being sheltered the sea is calm and clear and the sand shelves gently meaning no sudden surprises.
The resort itself starts at the promenade running alongside the beach. Welcoming cafes, bars and restaurants are a tip toe away from the warm sands and all offer a great view. Running along the back of the promenade is a pedestrianised area filled with shops, more eateries and bars – so there’s plenty to keep you entertained.
At night the resort moves up a gear and becomes a lively fun-filled resort full of entertainment for young, old and the in-betweenies. There are good quality restaurants to dine in, family-friendly pubs offering everything from live music to Karaoke and if you want to dance ‘til dawn then choose from a small selection of discos.
Cala Millor is a lively rather than boisterous resort and attracts holidaymakers looking for a great beach with a good choice of entertainment at night. It is also has some fabulous facilities close by that are an attractive day trip; Manacor (the centre of Majorcas artificial pearl production), the Caves of Drach or the Auto Safari Zoo are all popular excursions. Plus there are three good 18 hole golf course to choose from.
A Spotlight top tip:
During the last 5 days of October the resort gives itself over to the ‘Bahia de Cala Millor’ the annual international regatta. It’s an amazing event because it attracts over 50 hot air balloons from all over Europe. It’s an amazing spectacular and certainly worth visiting the resort to see.
