C'an Picafort, Mallorca - beach with golden sand dunes
At the eastern end of the wide bay of Alcúdia where the golden sand meets sand dunes you’ll find the smaller resort of C'an Picafort. If it’s your first visit to this resort then hop on the mini train and take a tour round. It will be bigger than you initially thought!
It has a lovely beach backed by a wide lovely promenade. It’s perfect for daytime strolling or sitting at a cafe in the early evening watching your fellow holidaymakers strolling about trying to make that difficult decision of the night; where to eat!
At the end of the promenade you’ll find the picturesque harbour which originally was the centre of this old fishing village before the influence of tourism. A good selection of boat trips depart from here giving you the chance to explore the coast and next door is a small marina full of pleasure craft.
Elsewhere the resort is filled with pedestrian streets lined with palm trees and packed with shops, bars and interesting eateries that beckon you in with their tempting menus.
Evenings tend to be a low-key affair centred around small bars some with live entertainment although if you fancy ‘shaking your booty’ into the wee hours there are a couple of nightclubs to choose from.
