Palma Nova, Mallorca - clean beaches and lively marina

Right next door to Magaluf is Palma Nova a little more grown up but just as lively. Popular with families and holidaymakers of all ages it was one of the earliest purpose built resorts on the island.
Originally developed around the original fishing harbour, now expensive yachts have replaced fishing boats and the resort has grown significantly over the years to offer holidaymakers a real fun-in-the-sun type of break.
The resort has a fine selection of safe sandy beaches along its sheltered coast; Es Carregador, Playa de Palma Nova and Son Maties. They have that all important Blue Flag status and excellent facilities including plenty of water sports and boat trips from the harbour. The beaches are backed by a long promenade allowing a calorie-busting walk the full length of the resort or you could take it easier and stop off at one or two of the welcoming cafe bars along the way!
Those on self catering have an excellent selection of restaurants serving a wide choice of cuisine; home cooked British food, Chinese, French and Mexican to name a few! Anyone of them will help get your evening off to the perfect start before you visit one of the many bars. What will it be? Live entertainment, sports bars, family fun and games or dancing ‘til dawn at one of the disco’s – there’s plenty of choice that’s for sure!
Palma Nova is at the end of the bay of Palma and the city is a breeze to get to on the bus just perfect for a day of sightseeing. In the surrounding area there’s plenty to see for all ages; the famous Pirate show, two fabulous water parks, a Go Cart track, Marineland and right in the centre of Magaluf; the unbelievable ‘House of Katmandu’: www.houseofkatmandu.com. You can’t help but enjoy yourself!
Spotlight top tip: On warm summer nights it’s great fun to take the family to Golf Fantasia. This floodlit mini golf course is THE most popular attraction in the resort. 3 differently designed 18 hole mini golf courses surprisingly set amongst a tropical parkland of lakes, caves and waterfalls complete with animal-life! It has to be seen to be believed...and the kids will love thrashing dad at golf! www.golf-fantasia.com
