Playa de Palma, Mallorca (Platja de Palma) - cosmopolitan atmosphere
This resort is on the superb 6 km beach that runs from C’an Pastilla to Arenal. Wide and sandy it is backed by a modern promenade lined with palm trees and dotted with cafe bars and gets extremely busy in July and August.
This is a lively resort popular with young Germans who flock here in the summer months to dance ‘til dawn – sleep is not an option! The resort is packed with restaurants, bars and shops...and if that’s not enough then Palma City is easily reached by bus or taxi.
It’s almost a buy one get two free – as this popular resort is connected to Arenal and C’an Pastilla by the wide promenade making them easy to walk to. Cycling is a great way of travelling around, or catch the mini train which runs on a regular basis through all of the resorts.
The beach is where everyone heads to in the sunshine hours. There’s plenty to do with the wide selection of water sports available or sit at one of the ‘balnearios’. They’re small beach huts or kioskos where you can buy drinks plus and use facilities such as toilets and showers.
One of the largest water parks on Majorca is situated close by; Aqualand el Arenal is a great day out for all ages and one not to be missed!
