S'Illot, Mallorca - family friendly, old fishing village

Originally a fishing village, S’Illot only really started to become a holiday resort in the 1980’s, unlike its neighbour Sa Coma which was purpose built for tourism. In fact fishing boats still land their catch a couple of times a week.

S’Illot is a family friendly resort situated on a lovely part of the Majorcan coastline. Beaches here often consist of white sand shelving gently into crystal clear waters, and S'’Illot is no exception. It has a wide sweep of soft sand perfect for sandcastles! The sea is shallow and safe for toddlers to paddle in and being backed by a good selection of cafe-bars it’s the perfect place for daytime relaxation.

A promenade runs the length of the resort and is a focal point for evening strolls. A gentle stroll along it takes you into nearby Sa Coma and if you walk across the beach there and continue on you’ll eventually come in to lively Cala Millor if you’re up to it!

Nightlife is quieter here, but there’re plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from. If you want a livelier time you can always nip into nearby Sa Coma or Cala Millor as buses connect both resorts and taxis are plentiful.
