This beach made our list because of the fabulous density of its sand dunes which stretch far inland giving the landscape an unusual ‘desert-like’ appearance.
This all means of course that there’s more than enough sand for everyone!
There’s no resort as such but there is a large complex which overlooks the beach, plus a couple of beach bars and restaurants that offer a distraction from all that sand! The sea is crystal clear and shelves gently. Limited water sports are available depending on the weather as the sea can get a bit rough here which makes it great for windsurfing!
Facilities: Bar/restaurants. Parking. Sun bed and parasols.
How do I get there? Head out of Arta and turn left at the petrol station to follow signposts for Capdepera. Pick up the signs for Cala Ratjada and then approx.8 kms further on you come to Cala Mesquida (signposted). A bus service also operates from Cala Ratjada.
