This pretty little inlet is relatively unknown by tourists and tends to be frequented by local holiday villa owners.
It lies hidden in a lovely spot flanked by two rocky outcrops covered in pine woods. Although narrow, this fine sandy beach extends quite a way inland and the crystal clear waters are just perfect for snorkelling.
Those who like to explore between sunbathing sessions won’t be disappointed either, as you can stroll between Cala Llombards and Cala Santanyi along the headland path, or take the coastal path to the right that takes you to the fabulous ‘mirador’ (viewing point) above Es Pontas – the effort will be worth it as you get a great photo opportunity.
Facilities: Sun beds and parasols. Beach bar. Three restaurants (in surrounding area). Parking.
How do I get there? Drive out of Santanyi towards peaceful village Es Llombards (worth a stop) and pick up the signs for the beach. Or park and walk along the headland footpath from Cala Santanyi (quite a lot of steps though!).
