For the last 33 years one of the features of the San Sebastian celebrations in Palma has been a cycling day. This year the inscriptions to take part in
this fun activity have already broken last year's record of 14,000 participants!
What a site it will be when so many thousands of cyclists take to the streets as the starting pistol is fired by Aina Calvo, the Mayoress of Palma. The big pedal off starts at the town hall
at 12.00 on 20th January and will last for approximately one hour travelling the route through the city to the Son Moix Palace of Sports.
There are prizes for the oldest and youngest cyclists, the most original bike, the best fancy dress and the most numerous group of scholars. It's guaranteed fun, even if you're only just watching,
especially with some of the weird and wonderful wheeled contraptions on the streets.
