The town council of the small town of Buger in Mallorca are about to increase the price of civil weddings celebrated there. They're slapping an extra €100 tax on the cost to pay for the cleaning up
after the rice has been thrown and petals scattered on the floor outside the town hall!
However there is a small caveat to the new tax, which may or may not become known as the Bugeration Factor, and that's a 50% discount if both bride and groom are officially registered as Buger
residents, although €50 for sweeping up a bit of rice does still sound expensive?
