Last Thursday was an historic day for Puerto Soller as the first cruise ship to ever visit the port weighed anchor just offshore. The

as they were ferried back and forth to the boat by smaller craft.
Catalina Pomar, Soller's tourist boss, says that all the bars and restaurants in the port were full to bursting and that they'd made money 'like never before!' The council and everybody else in
town would like to see more cruise passengers, and especially ones from luxury liners such as the Quest, but it's not up to them. The cruise line will make a decision on whether to return regularly
to Soller in the future based on the results of satisfaction surveys amongst the passengers – so let's hope they all enjoyed it.
