If it's winter then it must be time to carry out some more renovation work on the tracks of the famous Palma to Soller train. It's something that has to be done and the work is part of the
commitments made in 2005 when the train company was granted a 50 year concession to run the route.
Preparations have already been made for the work, replacing track near Bunyola and in some of the tunnels, which will take place throughout December and January. The actual train service will be
suspended from 9th December until 31st January and work on the tram tracks from Soller down to the port will also mean a disruption to that service but only for a few days.

It's a shame that tourists in Palma won't be able to visit Soller using the train, but there is a quick and cheap alternative to visit the lovely town of Soller, the "http://tramuntana.info/211.pdf" target="_blank">L211 bus from Palma's main bus station next to the railway terminal!
