The headline says it all – the picturesque port town of Porto Cristo is having its 13th annual seafood festival this Monday, 8th July. Part of the festivities for the town's patron saint's
festival, it takes place in the Paseo de la Sirena, just opposite the beach, where the market is normally held.
Starting at 20.30 it's a chance for the resaurants and wine producers in the area to show off their products and talents. Seven restaurants; El Patio, Corb Mari, Soma, Can Toni, Sa Llonja, Can
Salvador and Ca Na Marisol will be cooking up a storm and dishes like tuna tartare, shrimps with garlic, shellfish fideua, cod and sausage and of course, fashion dessert – cupcakes!
Courtesy of bodegas Miquel Gelabert, Toni Gelabert, Pere Seda, Son Sureda Ric and Son Vell give a vast choice of wines, locally (and many ecologically) produced brews to make an ideal acompaniment
to the food.
Sounds like a good evening out if you're staying in one of the resorts nearby.
