With Winter stretching or 13 weeks before us we can reveal the good news that the weather in Mallorca will be a little warmer than usual and with around the same amount of rainfall. At least that's
what the nice people at the Spanish State Weather Agency (AEMET) are predicting for us.

Weather boffins there have used every method in the book from Star Wars satellite technology to sucking their index finger and holding it up in the air to predict that;

Average temperatures – using the highest daytime and lowest night time readings - will be slightly more than 11 degrees centigrade.

Rainfall will be around average – 10 rainy days per month.

Snow will fall on very high ground on about 5 days in winter.

That's not bad is it? Cold enough at night to wear your best cashmere sweater and tweed overcoat and warm enough in the day to bask, sheltered from the breeze, in the sunshine in a bar terrace or
quiet corner! If you've never seen the snow on the mountains in the Sierra Tramuntana, it really is a sight worth seeing and the oranges ripening on trees in the Soller Valley make it particularly
special.

If you are coming to Mallorca in Winter to enjoy hiking, cycling, climbing, horse riding or one of the many other activities available you can check the long range weather
forecast on the AEMET Website.
