Mallorca bars: Brassclub, Palma.

Sophisticated cocktails, cool and classic, in downtown Palma.

Amongst the new wave of stylish, sophisticated bars springing up in Mallorca's capital city catering to a discerning clientele on the afterwork/pre-dinner circuit is Brassclub, a superb cocktail
bar belonging to master mixologist Rafa Martin.

Rafa is a prize winning cocktailista with a bronze medal from the world championship who now has his own stylish bar on Palma's Paseo Mallorca. Concentrating on classic mixes with a twist, Rafa has
over 350 bottles at his disposal, and a massive cocktail list which changes regularly to incorporate seasonal ingredients.

And the good news is, it's not all about alcohol! There's a wide choice of specially concocted cocktails for those of us not old enough, or not able to drink the strong stuff, all made by Laura,
the Balearic Non-Alcoholic Cocktail Champion! Or, if you fancy something hot, there's a wide choice of healthy, freshly made infusions with medicinal properties on offer too.

You may remember that Rafa Martin has strong links with the Chefs(in) boys and girls, the best cooks in Mallorca, which gives Brassclub an added edge for its Cocktail & Tapas days when they
fill the bar with tasty titbits, lovingly and skilfully created, all at reasonable prices. Keep an eye on their Facebook
page
foe news of the next C&T day.

Fancy it? Me too. Here's a little sample of what you might find to enjoy; Soller Orange Spritz, Gin Fizz Brassclub Style (with figs,) Apricot Daiquiri and Gin Fizz with Patxarán Navarro and Soller
Orange. Sounds good doesn't it? And what an ideal stop off if you're heading a couple of blocks up the street to take in some cool Jazz at the Hotel Palladium's rooftop Blue Jazz Club.

Chin chin.
