Palma's hotels having best year ever
Thanks to the changing and ever improving image of the city of Palma de Mallorca, its hotels are experiencing a boom like never before. Many of them have had record occupation throughout what is
normally the 'low season' and particularly so from Thursday to Sunday when clients enjoy a long weekend citybreak.
Not only is this good news for existing hotels in Palma, but it's also a spur for the creation of new hotels in the urban centre by converting historic, yet often neglected buildings into cool new
accommodation as I've reported on several occasions. Here's an example, the Boutique Hotel Posada Terra Santa,
a 16th century sandstone manor house sympathetically and stylishly restored and just minutes from all the city has to offer.
Winter, spring, summer or fall, Palma has a wonderful choice and array of shopping, historic monuments and museums, more excellent restaurants than you could shake a knife and fork at, cool bars
and great nightlife. Add to this its sea-side location, great beach, harbour and closeness to its airport and flights from major European cities lasting an average 2 hours then you can see why it's
Give it a try, like thousands of others (me included) you won't regret it!
