A superb gourmet tapas route in distinguished surroundings
If gourmet food is high on your list of holiday requirements then Mallorca's inland town of Inca – the centre of leather work and shoe production – is the place for you on 26th October. Then, the
beautiful Cloister of Santo Domingo is the venue for a sybaritic Sunday afternoon of good food, wine and beer courtesy of the Chefs(in) organisation.
They've brought together 8 of the Balearics' top chefs who will show off their skills producing some of their finest tapas using the best ingredients possible. Along with them wine suppliers
Highland Gold Mallorca will have some incredibly good brews on offer, Beer Lovers will be bringing along some fabulous artisan beers, and for afters, Marabans are supplying the coffee.
It starts at 12 mid-day and for the wallet conscious the prices are a prime example of a great price/quality ratio with the tapas costing €3 and the wine and beer €2.50! Good stuff when you
consider that the chefs involved are
Manu Pereira from Cap Vermell Beach Hotel
Andreu Genestra from Genestra in Capdepera
Marga Coll from Miceli
Andrés Benítez from "Es Molí de'n Bou"
Silvia Anglada from Es Tast De Na Silvia in Menorca (photo)
Tomeu Torrens from Celler Can Amer
Cati Pieras from Daica
Joan Marc from JOAN MARC Restaurant
Well, that's certainly got my interest and a Sunday afternoon spent in such illustrious company certainly beats staying in watching old films on the telly! Will you be joining me there?
