A 22 bar tapas route in Can Picafort every Thursday
Here's an example of a great idea that's spread like wildfire. It's Can Picafort's very own version of a special tapas route which gives everyone a chance to
taste and try an enormous variety of food at rock bottom prices. The most sociable way ever of eating and drinking - you just can't avoid meeting new friends – comes to this bijou resort this
Thursday, and every Thursday until the end of the season.
Pica Tapa, what a perfect title - Pica's the contraction of Picafort and also means 'nibble' in Spanish – gives nibblers in the town the chance to practice their skills for €1 per tapa and €1 for a
beer, wine or soft drink. Yes, ONE Euro!
There are 22 bars taking part and all are linked by the Tapa Tren, the little tourist train shuttles round a circular route all evening, dropping off and picking up happy revellers from the bars
along the way. It's only €2 per ticket, which can be used all evening – Pica Tapa kicks off at 19.30 until 23.30 – which seems quite reasonable.
New this year is a shopping scheme whereby shops will give any customer who spends €20 a voucher for €2 to buy tapas.
It seems like it's a win win situation for everybody, see you on the train?
