Two shows dedicated to top popsters Queen and Abba hit Palma.
Mallorca relives all the hits from two of the world's most famous pop combos whose tunes have remained so popular for 40 years. Two shows featuring the planet's most famous Swedes, Abba, and Queen
who made the world's longest record (well it seems it to me) Bohemian Rhapsody, will be visiting the Trui Theatre in Palma soon.
Abba The Musical celebrates 40 years since the boy-girl-girl-boy band made it famous by combining their initials and winning the Eurovision song contest with Waterloo. With a cast of 16 singers
musicians and dancers the show contains no less than 22 of their biggest hits and I bet that you know the words to them all! Friday 30th May at 21.00 and Saturday 31st at 18.00 and 21.00 are the
dates for your diary.
In July 'The Show Must Go On' starring tribute band God Save the Queen – DSR (that's Spanish for GSQ) visit the theatre for just one show on a massive world tour. They're billed as the planet's
best Queen tribute band and the lead singer does look uncannily like Freddie Mercury though Brian May (the one out of Queen who wears a poodle on his head) wasn't fooled when he met them recently.
See if you can spot the difference on 5th July at 21.30 when they stride onto the Trui stage to run through swathes of Queen hits, all together now, clap along; all we hear is Radio Gaga, Radio goo
goo, Radio ga ga....
Fancy it? All the details of tickets, prices, times and location are on the Trui Website.
