Simultaneous free concerts in 14 different Mallorca venues
Don't be fooled by the title 'Simfonic' because this is a music festival which embraces many different genres from classical symphony, chamber, piano recital, opera, choral, swing, jazz, gospel,
rock, pop and rap. The core idea is to stage 130 concerts simultaneously all across the northern Catalan speaking region which includes the Balearic Islands.
So all the concerts start at 18.00 on Saturday 7th June, and take place not only in traditional music venues but also in some iconic locations across the region; Barcelona zoo, Girona's Arab baths,
Figueres' Dali Museum and Es Baluard here in Palma. The main feature of all the concerts will be the performance of Nina Simone's 'My Baby Just Cares for Me,' by all 7,000 participants at 19.00!
The venues (Palma first) and types of concert are;
CaixaForum - chamber
Can Alcover – Espai de Cultura - jazz
Centre de Cultura “SA NOSTRA” -chamber
Es Baluard Museu d’Art Modern i Contemporani de Palma - chamber
Fundació Pilar i Joan Miró a Mallorca – piano

You can get more information about the venues and performances on the official webpage, it's in Catalan but google does a pretty
good job of translating if you don't understand it.
My tip would be head for the lovely Paseo del Borne concerts, grab a glass of chilled wine from one of the nearby bars and relax to the music on a balmy summer's evening before dinner.
See you there?
