Enjoy art, wine tasting and tapas all under one roof in Andratx
The Centre for Contemporary Art (CCA) in Andratx is much more than just a gallery. Yes, it has a shop and yes it has a cafe, but more than this it's a centre for entertainment and the good things
in life. During the summer it had regular gastro-musical evenings with fine food, wine and music and recently it was the beautiful backdrop as the venue for the "http://www.chefsins.com/una-noche-en-el-museo/" target="_blank">Chefs(in) Hidden Kitchen gourmet dinners.
Next weekend it's hosting a special event for lovers of art, food and wine when the galleries and spaces will have 11 bodegas from Mallorca showing off their finest brews for tasting and buying and
top chef Silvia Anglada from Menorca's Es Tast De Na Silvia will be cooking up some of the best tapas from her kitchen.
It's a great chance to visit the gallery as the normal admission price is €8, but for the wine fair is only €12 which also includes 3 glasses of wine and a guided tour around the exhibition rooms!
Sounds good? Then the details are:
Saturday and Sunday, 11th and 12th October from 11.00 to 17.00 with Silvia's tapas a mere €3 each during this time and the guided tours at 13.14 and 15.15.
In addition, wine expert Martin Ward of Wine Educators International will give a masterclass in wine tasting which includes 4 wines selected from the bodegas and costs only €5! They take place at
12.00, 14.00 and 16.00 on both days and my tip would be 'pace yourself,' and get someone else to drive you home.
Sounds like a great couple of days in great surroundings and you can read more about the CCA and its location on its website.
