Enjoy the wines and food of Mallorca on a variety of wonderful tours
A perfect trip out to see some of Mallorca's most picturesque vineyards and sample their wonderful wines without the worry of having to drive is available to all thanks to Mallorca Wine Tours.
Starting from Binissalem in the heart of Mallorca wine country, these thoughtful people offer tours by mini train around the beautiful countryside stopping off at wineries, fincas and private
country houses to see how wine is made and more importantly, to taste it.
There are a variety of tours starting with the basic 'Daily Tour' which lasts from 3 to 4 hours and costs €35 for adults. It's guided by a real person (as opposed to a pre-recorded audio guide) who
not only speaks English, Spanish and German, but can also answer all your questions about the wines.
This tour visits Mallorca's oldest winery, vineyards and stops in two bodegas where 6 or 7 wines – red, white, rose and dessert – can be sampled accompanied by specially selected appetisers to help
the palate appreciate the excellent brews. If that wasn't enough, you can buy extra wine starting at just €1 per glass!
I'm hooked already. The other tours build up from this one and last longer, have better wines, more food, cost more (naturally) and are well worth it.
The Gourmet Tour includes more and better quality wine, fine cheese, Jabugo ham nibbles and fine Mallorcan sobrasada. The Sunset Tour takes you though vineyards along the Tramuntana mountains where
the sun sets majestically over the peaks as you dine in a beautiful country finca.
My favourite would be the Finca Tour which includes a magnificent home grown lamb dinner cooked in the stone oven of the company's own finca which has been in the family for three centuries.
Take a look at the Mallorca Wine Tours' Website for all the details of prices, times and how to book and remember that Binissalem is
on Mallorca's rail network and can be reached from a variety of places on the island without having to drive!
