Port Adriano: Yacht and gastro events

Stylish Port Adriano's summer event season starts in May

Without doubt Mallorca's most stylish superyacht port, Port Adriano had a head start in the coolness stakes when it was designed in fine detail by no less than Phillippe Stark. Modern, exclusive and just oozing those little touches that make it special, it's crammed with fabulous restaurants, shops and of course the sleek, luxury craft of the jet and wet set.

This month, its summer season of events kicks off with 'The Best of Yachting' when those with a penchant for for luxury on the ocean wave get the chance to gather together, buy, sell and network when the likes of yacht brokers and customers meet and all sponsored by some high end brands like Bentley!

The good news is that we mere mortals can enjoy the show as over the three days 22 -24 May, there will be lots of entertainment, music, fashion shows and a fashion catwalk of boats for our pleasure. For nautical fans on a tight budget, there's a stand up paddle surf competition also on at the same time.

In June the 11 restaurants on the port complex – they're just so modern and cool, I could sit there with a cocktail or two all evening – will be contributing to  the 'Discover Gastronomy' event. Food lovers can enjoy a 'street food' fest for all with vintage food trucks parked up serving great cuisine at reasonable prices on the 11 to 13 June.

On the 17th there's a show cooking display by the 'chef del mar' featuring recipes from the boats and restaurants at the port. The kids get a chance to try out their master chef skills with 'mini chef' fun workshops for youngsters on the 25th and 26th whilst finally, the 27th is family tapas day, aimed at parents with kids. Sounds good, and all thanks to the Restaurante Bruno, East by Coast, El Faro, La Cantina de Port Adriano, Pizzería La Oca, Ristorante Guiseppe, La Terraza de Port Adriano, Crew Bar, Sansibar, Harbour Grill and Vino del Mar eateries at Port Adriano.
