Boutique hotel and designer port team up for sailing days
Fancy an unforgettable stay in Palma de Mallorca made even more special by a day spent sailing around the stunning coastline? Then the Hotel Cort, a modern boutique hotel located in the town hall square in the very heart of the city, has teamed up with Port Adriano sailing club to offer is guests wonderful sailing days on well equipped yachts.
Mallorca's reputation as an excellent sailing destination is well founded and is most known for its sunshine and ideal year round weather conditions at sea – warm but breezy – just right for filling the sails and ploughing through the breakers!
Cort clients can take advantage of Port Adriano's (did you know it was designed by Philippe Starck?) super modern facilities and board a high performance X-yacht on a 'private sailing package' with an experienced professional skipper.
Your captain for the day knows both the boat and the crystal clear waters of the area so can advise the best places to experience sailing, scenery and calmer waters for a spot of champagne lunch and an afternoon of sunbathing or snorkelling. If you're an skilled sailor, you can help crew the boat if you wish, or just kick back and relax with your fellow jack tars and just enjoy the ride.
The cost for a day on the briny with everything included is just €1200 for six people, which is very reasonable indeed. At the end of the afternnon, clients can relax in Port Adriano's bars and restaurants or head back to the hotel for a spot of lounging on the roof terrace, or perhaps a pre-dinner vermouth in the bar.
I've never stayed in the Hotel Cort, which looks really nice, though I have had a few snifters in the bar, which is very professionally run and does some great snacks. I'd definitely consider it for its style and position, take a look at our hotel page for more details and to book online.
