More than just tapas!
In a triumph of planning and organisation, the lovely Chefs(in) people are bringing us yet another edition of the gourmet tapas extravaganza Peccata Minuta in Inca this Sunday. Not only is the town celebrating a whole series of fiestas around this time, but even better, the entire country gets a day off on Monday when it's the public holiday, All Saints' Day!
So, what happens? Chefs(in) an organisation to promote the gastronomy of the Balearic Islands at home and abroad is sending six of their top chefs from some of the islands' best restaurants to prepare their finest gourmet tapas to be sold at extremely economic prices. There's plenty to choose from with 3,400 of the little dishes on sale at just €3 and some of the best local beers and wines to accompany them at only €2.50!
That's a recipe for success if ever I heard one, but if any more incentive to go were needed, here's the list of chefs;
Marga Coll (Miceli, Selva), Tomeu Torrens (Celler Can Amer, Inca), Catalina Pieras (Daica, Petit Hotel, Llubí), Joan Marc (Joan Marc Restaurant, Inca), Sílvia Anglada (Es Tast de na Sílvia, Ciutadella), Víctor Bayo (Alcaufar Vell, Sant Lluís) – the first four from Mallorca and the last two from Menorca.
With ales courtesy of Alcudia's own Beer Lovers, a good selection of wine from Vinamica and Marabans coffee, it promises to be a totally sybaritic Sunday afternoon in Inca.
