One of the world's most popular musicals hits Palma
The spectacular all singing dancing musical Mamma Mia which has been a major, popular success all over the world and features the songs of ABBA, is coming to Palma de Mallorca this Easter.
The musical, in Spanish, stops over at the Palma Auditorium from Good Friday, March 25th until April 3rd during this particular production's tour of the big cities in Spain. Mamma Mia has an incredible track record, having played live to over 54 million people in 440 world cities, using 16 different languages and performed by 49 theatrical companies.
This production has a team of 76 people behind it – actors, singers, musicians and technicians – and the costumes, 300 of them, were all designed and made in London, where the West End production ran for 16 years without a break!
The great thing about musicals like this is that the songs and story line are so well known that if could be in any language and the enjoyment would be none the less! So prepare to sing along when you get to the Auditorium and take the kids along too, they'll love it, particularly at the earlier performances so they don't have to stay up after bed time!
