Binissalem Wine Days

Nine days, nine experiences

Mallorca's most well known wine producing region, the Binissalem DO is celebrating 25 years as a recognised area and is also putting on a big celebration of its wines. This is the third edition of the 'Wine Days' festival and takes place from the 14th to 22nd May with the strapline 'Nine days, nine experiences.'

Its aim is of course to publicise the variety of wines from the region and to demonstrate how Mallorca and its culture is inextricably bound up with wine, which has been produced on the island since Roman times. Hence, the nine experiences of Wine Days will be exhibitions, landscape, popular culture, gastronomy, heritage, markets, music, art and wine.

There's a full and detailed programme in English of all the events taking place in the six main towns of the Binissalem area – Binissalem, Santa Maria del Cami, Biniali, Santa Eugenia, Consell and Sencelles – just click the link. You'll find a host of events including wine tastings, tours of the region, gastronomic evenings and music; our video from last year will give you a good idea of what's going on, but highlights (copied from the PDF) for me are:-
