Alcudia hosts the big symphony version of Les Mis
Alcudia is hosting the festival of St Cecilia, the patron saint of music, at the moment and they're really going to town in a BIG way this weekend when around 150 singers and musicians take to the stage in the symphony version of Les Miserables.
The 90 minute concert is a joint effort between the Municipal Orchestra of Alcudia and the City Choir of Mallorca who have come together to perform the score of the famous musical without all the 'acting' bits in-between.
You'll need to take your hankies along if you're going as this tale of broken dreams, unrequited love, passion, sacrifice and redemption set in 19th century France is, if you hadn't guessed from its title, a bit of a tear jerker! However at only €3 (it goes to charity) to get in, your wallet won't be crying.
The dates for your diary are Saturday 19th November at 19:30 and Sunday 20th at 19:00 in the Alcudia Auditorium. Well worth a trip if you're on hols in the Alcudia and Pollensa area.
